Anna-Lisa Hackett (Queen of the Night)
Anna-Lisa Hackett is a star in the making with a powerful voice and an incredible range.
She received her degree from the Eastman School of Music and has sung numerous times with the Eastman Opera Theater, Minnesota Opera, Centro Studi Italiani Opera Festival and most recently with the Phoenix Opera. This past November, she made her professional operatic debut as Frasquita in Phoenix Opera’s production of Carmen. Ms. Hackett has also performed the roles of La Fata Azzurra in La Bella Dormente nel Bosco and as Sister Constance in Dialogues des Carmelites of which she was acclaimed by reviewers to have “revealed a luminous voice, and sang with ease and spontaneity.” A recent performance elicited Dr Leon Thurman of the Voice Care Network to write “Her voice is fabulous, bottom-to-top! Her singing, acting, and movement were very expressive and flawless.” Ms. Hackett has also won many competitions and has been a featured soloist with the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Nicholas McGegan as well as with the Eastman Collegium under the direction of Paul O’dette.
This December she will be a featured soloist with the Phoenix Symphony in The Messiah as well as in their New Year’s Eve Concert and she will return to the Phoenix Opera to perform the Queen of the Night in The Magic Flute.
